The Williamsport Area School District welcomes new faculty and administrators for the upcoming 2022-2023 academic year.

The following 48 people are new members of the WASD faculty team:

The following five people are new members of the district administration team.

• Alicia Differ, K-12 District Director

• Ryan Carper, Deputy Director, Lycoming Valley Intermediate

• Courtney Hamm, director of education data analysis, district-wide

• James Poleto, Deputy Principal, Jackson Primary

• Michael Shaeffer, Assistant Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor, District

The following faculty and district administration members will fill new positions this school year:

• Erin Brouse, who served as Vice Principal at Jackson Elementary School, will now serve as Principal of Jackson Elementary School.

• Denise Clark, who was WAHS Distance Learning Coordinator, will now be Deputy Headmaster at Hepburn-Lycoming Primary.

• Caitlin Costa, who was a Grade 7 English teacher at WAMS, will now be an Early Childhood Education teacher at WAHS.

• Jim Ellis, who was director of Stevens Primary, will now be principal of Cochran Primary.

• Kirk Felix, who was Principal Director of Cochran Primary, will be Principal Director of WAMS.

• Don Fisher, who was music teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate, will now be music teacher at WAMS.

• Tristin Forney, who was Dean of Students at Lycoming Valley Intermediate, who is now the Director of Grade 11 at WAHS.

• Kevin Harris, who was a professor of chemistry at WAHS, will now be the distance learning coordinator at WAHS.

• Derreck Lanzer, who was a fifth grade teacher at Curtin Intermediate, will now be a sixth grade teacher at Curtin Intermediate.

• Meghan Maulen, who was a speech therapist at Stevens Primary, will now hold the same position at Cochran Primary.

• Theresa Montgomery, who served as principal at Jackson Primary, will now serve as the district’s K-6 program supervisor.

• Greg Kinley, who was a third year teacher at Stevens Primary, will now be a sixth year teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate.

• Nick Kelley, who was a fifth grade teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate, will now be a Title 1 instructional coach at Lycoming Valley Intermediate.

• Michelle McClain, who was a kindergarten teacher at Cochran Elementary School, will now be a Title 1 Reading Specialist/Instructional Coach at Cochran Elementary School.

• Dr. Brandon Pardoe, who served as Senior Director of WAHS, will now serve as the District’s Director of Student Services.

• Dr. Richard Poole, who served as Director of Student Services, will now become Deputy Superintendent.

• Dr Justin Ross, who was Senior Director at WAMS, will now become Associate Director at WAHS.

• Colleen Samar, who was Title 1 Reading Specialist and Education Coach at Lycoming Valley Intermediate, will now transfer to Hepburn-Lycoming Primary.

• Bailey Snyder, who was a Grade 4 teacher at Curtin Intermediate, will now serve as a Title 1 Literacy and Mathematics Coach at Curtin Intermediate.

• Daniel Woleslagle, who was a sixth grade teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate, will now be the district’s instructional technology specialist.

• Jennifer Wright, who was music teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate, will now be music teacher (choral) at WAMS.

• Lauren Zehner, who was a special education teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate, will now be a Title 1 instructional coach at Lycoming Valley Intermediate.
