Trio of local programs accredited by ABET | News, Sports, Jobs

Three Pennsylvania College of Technology degree programs have been accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, the worldwide accrediting body for college and university programs in applied and natural sciences, computer science, engineering, and technology. engineering.

The accredited programs are: Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Computer Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Science in Welding and Manufacturing Engineering Technology, and Associate of Applied Science in Welding Technology. All are offered within Penn College’s School of Engineering Technologies.

Accreditation extends retroactively from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2024.

ABET accreditation ensures programs meet standards to produce graduates ready to enter critical technical fields that pave the way for innovation and emerging technologies, and anticipate public welfare and safety needs.
