Stone Path Malt, is a craft malt company located in New England, USA. We are a local craft malt producer and supplier of premium Low Germans and specialty malts made in the Franconia region of Germany. Our malt house produces locally made malt in a 30,000 square foot building on 3.5 acres in Wareham, Massachusetts. We operate a 10 ton Kaspar Schulz malting system built in Bamberg, Germany. Because we are passionate about craft beer, we have created a unique 3,000 square foot tap room onsite and restaurant that offers our customers an award-winning craft beer: ‘Brewed with Stone Path Malt’.

We are recruiting sales representatives to expand our growing customer base. Good candidates will have an independent entrepreneurial drive, as well as the education, training, and sales experience to join a growth-oriented sales effort. Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

Territory Account Sales

  • Perform independent sales activities and related services while establishing Stone Path Malt and our German partner IREKS as the primary malt supplier to the New England and New York craft beer market
  • Generate leads to initiate and develop new customer relationships
  • Implement sales objectives including: establishing new customer accounts, increasing revenue growth, expanding customer base to leverage profitability and supporting brand development
  • Mastering the order management system for malt shipments to breweries from our malt house and distribution location in Wareham, MA
  • Maintain and report customer contacts, sales pipeline activity reports, market data, customer sales history
  • Facilitate and support inventory forecasting, planning and customer order demand

Marketing assistance

  • Assist and support the development and implementation of short and long term sales goals
  • Interact with key brewers and brewery management to develop trusting and lasting relationships
  • Communicate with customers via phone, text, email, zoom, etc. as needed and participate in online brewery and industry events
  • Visit customer breweries for meetings, special events, festivals or local industry conferences
  • Create and submit customer visit reports on a monthly basis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree: sales and marketing, business administration, brewing science or other related disciplines
  • 1-3 years of experience in the food or beverage industry; Malting/brewing experience desired
  • Diploma or certificate in brewing science, food processing or malting from a recognized program an asset
  • A positive, clearly demonstrated and well-articulated passion for malting and/or craft brewing
    • Strong communication, organizational and sales skills and the ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to manage dynamic operations, complex logistics, in a growing and rapidly changing industry
  • Strong time management skills, flexible schedule and ability to travel within the region up to 75%
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Professional membership(s) a plus
  • Ability to lift and manipulate 55 lbs. cereal bags

Compensation:

We offer competitive compensation and a commission plan based on qualifications, skills and experience. Reimbursement of travel expenses.
