The Marketing Department at Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick is inviting applications for two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in September 2023.

Position 1: This position is focused on a promising researcher whose research interests are aligned with emerging and growing technologies applied to marketing. Particular consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate cutting-edge research potential in the application of modern marketing technologies (martech), including but not limited to artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain and the metaverse. Specific areas of application within marketing remain open, including marketing analytics/intelligence, customer journey, advertising, and pricing. Position 2: We seek candidates whose research interests relate to digital and social media tools applied to management-relevant marketing issues. The substantive domain is open to all analytical, empirical, behavioral or managerial approaches. Specific application areas include, but are not limited to, advertising, branding, sales, retail, product innovation, and marketing metrics. Terms

Applicants must either have completed their Ph.D. in marketing or a related field or plan to complete it before joining Rutgers.

Responsibilities

Our faculty must engage in a high-quality research program, provide excellent teaching at all levels, supervise doctoral students, and engage in service activities. Applicants will be expected to teach marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. They must also have strong evidence of high-quality academic research.

Rutgers Business School is ranked #1 among public business schools in the Northeastern United States and spans campuses in Newark and New Brunswick. Faculty members are expected to teach at both locations. However, the main office of the successful candidate is at the Newark campus.
