E-commerce customer service company Radial is hiring more than 750 seasonal workers on-site in Melbourne to assist holiday shoppers via phone, chat, social media and email.
Located on Babcock Street, Radial’s customer service center in Melbourne works with retail brands such as Hibbett Sports, Rag & Bone, vVardis, Untuckit, Cole Haan and Puma.
“With people mostly working from home and little traffic in retail stores, e-commerce has grown tremendously,” said Urvashi Purohit, director of customer service at Radial.
“So for us, it never stopped. In fact, it grew exponentially,” Purohit said.
“With the holiday season fast approaching, now more than ever, it’s very important for us to bring in the right people to help support our customers and clients,” she said.
Purohit said company officials are still finalizing pay scales for seasonal jobs.

Last September, Radial announced plans to hire 1,567 workers in Melbourne amid the coronavirus pandemic. Purohit said the company has bolstered its work-from-home and virtual workforce over the past year.
A Radial survey of 1,000 adults shows that 65% plan to spend the same amount or more this holiday season, compared to 2020. Additionally, 50% of respondents said the COVID-19 pandemic prompted them to shop more online.
Radial shipped nearly 330 million units last year amid the pandemic e-commerce boom. The peak months of November and December accounted for 82 million units, a 34% increase over the 2019 holiday season.
Radial plans to provide “meaningful opportunities” for seasonal workers in Melbourne to convert to full-time roles this year, according to a press release detailing the job announcement. Night shifts will also be available.
“This is a great opportunity for Brevard County residents who may have worked in other industries that have been impacted by the COVID pandemic and are ready to explore a new career path,” Purohit said.
Radial also operates a customer service center in Pueblo, Colorado.
