Opportunity
The Associate Professor of Digital Education will play an important role in positioning the Melbourne Graduate School of Education (MGSE) as a global contributor to research and scholarship in the field of digital education, including by highlighting the focus on participation, access, equity and success for all students; develop and support the growth of digital pedagogies and literacy among MGSE staff and students; develop leadership in digital education through research; and improving digital capabilities within our community.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to public and professional debates on digital education and contribute to the MGSE and the University by participating in leadership, service and engagement activities. Strengthening diversity and inclusion is a priority for the Doctoral School and the University.

About you
You will have a national and international profile, evidence of specialist knowledge and significant achievement in one or more relevant research areas related to digital education and an excellent record of sustained academic leadership. You will also possess a distinguished record of achievement, related to teaching and learning, and you will be expected to actively contribute to pedagogical innovations related to digital education, both within the MGSE and across all sectors of the education.

You will own;

  • A doctorate or equivalent research doctorate relevant to digital education.
  • An established international research profile, with a significant number of publications in the main relevant media, and evidence of the ability to initiate and lead new research programs in digital education.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership contribution to future directions of digital education as an area of ​​research, knowledge and practice.
  • A successful record in competitive grant applications and/or attracting other external funding.
