PITTSBURGH – Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield has received a 2021 Brand Excellence Award from the National Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.

The annual Brand Excellence Awards honor the Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans and are awarded in recognition of the Blue Cross Blue Shield plans’ efforts to build brand strength and provide superior customer service, strong financial performance and enrollment growth.

Highmark won the Brand Excellence Award for Brand Innovation for enhancing its Well360 solutions portfolio, Highmark’s suite of wellness and care management programs offered to employer group clients.

In 2019, Highmark upgraded two of its Well360 solutions, Well360 Connect and Well360 Focus, adding artificial intelligence-based technology, customizable communication capabilities, expanding multidisciplinary care teams and integrated digital solutions for proactive outreach to members.

Well360 Focus provides a targeted solution that identifies and treats chronic disease. This platform is chosen by many employers who want to address common and recurring health issues within their employee population. Well360 Connect as a single, comprehensive platform that makes the healthcare experience as seamless as possible and provides a differentiated member experience by integrating a team of dedicated customer service advocates with a multidisciplinary clinical care and support team. welfare.

In 2021, Highmark was able to measure results and, compared to its standard care management solutions, Well360 Connect program members were 10 times more likely to actively participate in a care management or wellness program. These members also had a lower average total cost of care than members of standard managed care solutions.

Well360 Focus program members were seven times more likely to actively participate in a managed care or wellness program, with an average total cost of care also lower than members of standard programs.

Highmark has been recognized for its innovations, recognizing that it has provided members with a frictionless experience, removed barriers to care, and provided personalized solutions that have reduced costs and improved outcomes.
