TITLE: Director, Catalog Development and Marketing

REPORTS TO: Vice President and Head of Services to Artists and Labels

DEPARTMENT: Firebird Tagging Services

LOCATION: Remote, with London, UK preferred


The Firebird Label Services division provides Firebird Music’s artists, management and label partners, as well as its wholly owned labels and repertoire, access to all the resources needed to share their music with a global audience.

FLS offers recorded music strategy, distribution, release management, marketing and promotion, and more to meet the creative and business needs of its partners.


The Director, Catalog Development and Marketing position will work with Firebird’s artists, management and label partners, as well as our internal sales team, to develop campaigns and strategies for on- and off-cycle catalog priorities. across genres, generating both exposure and revenue.

  • Develop and execute campaigns and strategies for in-cycle and off-cycle catalog priorities
  • Become an expert on our partners and their artists, including global brands, past releases, marketing campaigns, social media presence, fanbase consumption habits, chart performance, and more.
  • Collaborate with Firebird’s digital and business teams to strategize, review and engage around artist campaigns to maximize marketing visibility and measure KPIs
  • Create weekly performance reports for priority projects for use by internal teams and artists, management and label partners
  • Build community/fan development initiatives while brainstorming to implement exciting new content and activations
  • You’ll develop ideas that will create exposure for our artists and help them build real fanbases through performances, grassroots marketing, collaborations, promotional appearances, and more.
  • Organize, set up and lead meetings for key releases, including managing follow-up/action items
  • Implement, organize and execute creative marketing, including managing project budgets
  • Develop new bespoke digital and physical catalog marketing campaigns for active frontline artists and attend new release meetings to integrate catalog items
  • Maintain a database of birthdays, milestones, and other timeline-centric catalog marketing engines
    Identify viral moments and create campaigns that quickly capitalize on these opportunities

  • You have 5+ years of experience in music industry marketing, project management and/or sales and streaming, with a catalog focus
  • Have experience and flexibility in working across multiple international time zones
  • Present a solid knowledge of music in all genres
  • You are familiar with past and current popular music in all genres
  • You analyze situations and formulate actionable leads
  • You have an eye for detail and are able to take a broad overview simultaneously
  • You have a history of productive relationships with independent artists, managers and labels
  • You are a collaborative and supportive teammate
  • You are a clear and effective communicator with excellent writing skills
  • You are a results-driven self-starter… a starter and close
  • You are well organized and flexible
  • You are a problem solver who can multitask and stay cool under pressure
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace


Preferred bachelor’s degree
