Sales Representative – What you bring to the team

As a sales representative, you will be a crucial element in representing and developing the brand. You will spend time in the retail market to increase brand visibility by executing best-in-class merchandising programs and cultivating strong relationships with our most valued retail customers. Your primary duties will be to engage buyer and non-buyer retail accounts to gain distribution, identify and sell display opportunities, and execute marketing and point-of-sale programs throughout your geographic area. assigned. Your responsibilities will also include sampling (indoor/outdoor in various weather conditions) at local opportunities and performing quality product demonstrations at key retail accounts. Although this position is based outside of your assigned territory, you are expected to travel outside of it on occasion, depending on business needs.

Sales representatives must work with distributor and internal teams and support large-scale projects involving multiple team members and external partners.

  • Empathy – The success of our distributors and retailers will precede ours, so your ability to put yourself in their shoes and anticipate their needs – ideally before they do – is essential.   • The mindset of a scammer – As a new start-up, we have less people, money and minimal resources compared to our competitors, so we have to find ways to achieve our goals creatively despite the constraints. No task can be too small – “not my job” is not in the job description.

Work – What we rely on you for

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key retailers, both on-site and off-site, in the assigned geographic area.
  • Take a leadership role in implementing key brand initiatives with retailers in assigned geography.
  • Create authentic connections within the community and our target demographic on behalf of our brand.
  • Conduct fieldwork with sessions with distributor representatives.
  • Execute retailer staff training on our brand, our value proposition and what sets our brand apart from the competition so that retailers are fully prepared to present our brand to consumers.
  • Ensure our brand quality standards are clearly understood and applied by distributors and retailers.
  • Use data systems to identify new or expanded distribution opportunities, lost sales, incremental volume increases, and other business information.
  • Ensure proper use of legal point-of-sale items available nationwide
  • Represent our brand at selected festivals and events.
  • Review and understand all legal restrictions regarding our brand in each market and ensure that all initiatives are executed within these limits.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work hours as weekends and extended work days are required.
  • Additional tasks can be assigned if necessary.

The Basics – What we expect you to bring to the table

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the three-tier system
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and maintain effective working relationships with distributors, high level account decision makers and all internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision – self-motivated
  • High level of knowledge of beer products
  • Excellent oral, analytical, written and group presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • HS or GED degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or military equivalent.
  • Two years of sales industry experience within the beverage industry.
  • Good knowledge of the local beer market
  • In-depth knowledge and direct experience of the beer scene in this geography.
